About Carney's Feed Mill
Family-Owned Since 1967
The Carney Family: Rooted in Tradition, Driven by Innovation
The Carney family mill has been a Clermont County staple since 1967, when John Carney first purchased the facility at auction. It was a true family effort from the start: Tom and Katty Carney stepped in to help John run the business, with Katty and their six children working the mill while Tom followed the family tradition on the railroad.
By 18, John was running the entire operation. He was a forward-thinker, pivoting from swine and dairy to horse feed in the '70s and eventually moving into wild bird seed. Local competitors laughed at "that Carney boy," doubting his instincts—but decades later, Carney’s is the last mill standing.
Innovation has always been our hallmark. In 1990, we introduced the area’s first feed drive-thru to make life easier for our customers. Today, the legacy continues with John’s sons. Tim, our VP of Manufacturing, ensures our feeds are always up to standard, while John Jr., our VP of Sales and lead nutrition specialist, works directly with you to ensure your animals thrive.
"We value your trust more than words can say. We look forward to seeing you again soon and thank you sincerely for choosing us!"
